About the Hotel
The Fitzwilliam Hotel in Dublin is a stunning five-star hotel that's truly a work of art. From the moment you step inside, you'll feel like royalty.
I stayed in one of the beautifully designed rooms, and it felt both spacious and cozy at the same time.
And don't even get me started on the bed (you may know how important beds are to me from my Loews Philadelphia Hotel review)! The bed at the Fitzwilliam was so comfortable I struggled to get up in the morning!
The room also had all the amenities you could ask for, like a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and a fully stocked minibar.
Location
Firstly, the location of the Fitzwilliam Hotel is unbeatable! It's super close to some of my favorite Dublin spots, like St. Stephen's Green, the Jameson Distillery. and the National Museum of Ireland.
I loved being able to wander around the city and stumble upon new things to do and see without having to trek too far.
It's located at St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, D02 HX65, Ireland, which is right in the famous Grafton Street shopping area.
The hotel even offers self-guided walking tours, where you can download their podcasts as you tour the city.
The Customer Service
Let me tell you, once you step into the Fitzwilliam, you might not even want to leave.
Every time I entered the hotel doors, the staff greeted me like an old friend.
The level of service at the Fitzwilliam Hotel was always above and beyond. I felt like I was really taken care of and that they genuinely wanted me to have a great time.
The Restaurants
Now, let's talk about the food at the Fitzwilliam. The hotel offers two restaurants, and one is a Michelin Star restaurant called Glovers Alley.
The second is a less fancy but equally delicious "contemporary Irish Pub," the Inn on the Green Bar. Both the Fish and Chips and Reuben were out of this world!
We were delighted to partake in "afternoon tea" during our stay. Be sure to book this one in advance as it's only available on weekends.
The tea menu featured a lovely selection of dainty sandwiches and treats. I particularly enjoyed the grilled halloumi sandwiches and mini scones.
Overall, my stay at the Fitzwilliam Hotel was an incredible experience that I'll never forget. I felt like I was living like royalty during my time there!
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and convenient place to stay in Dublin. The Fitzwilliam Hotel is simply a diamond in the rough, and I'm already looking forward to my next stay.
