Watching your Favorite Shows & Movies with Xfinity TV GO

You could say that we watch a lot of TV in our home, not necessarily TV shows or a lot throughout the day. But we do watch TV in our home.  The surprising part of this is the fact that we do not pay for cable or satellite TV.  In fact, we haven’t paid for TV in over a year now and for the most part we don’t miss it.  Yes, we might miss watching certain sporting events but when it comes to TV shows or movies, we can see those all we want with our personal home entertainment system we have.

We’ve put all of our movies on a computer, along with any TV shows we’ve purchased the series for. So, we can watch them any time we want to and we don’t have to wait for them to come on TV.  Yes, we don’t always have the latest and greatest of TV shows, but to be honest, there aren’t many out there that are of much interest to us.  We’re more movie watchers than anything.

With that all being said, Comcast has come out with Xfinity TV Go App that allows it’s customers to pretty much watch anything they want to when they want to. OK, so it isn’t pretty much anything, but TV GO lets their customers can watch live TV from more than 50 popular stations as well as On Demand content from any device, anywhere they go. You can access our TV GO App on your laptop, tablet or smart phone.  I was given a 30 day demo of the TV GO App in exchange for this write-up and although I don’t miss not having cable, I do kind of wish we had it again so I could watch some of the shows that are out on non local TV stations.

With the Xfinity TV GO app you can watch your favorite TV shows based on the network, day of the week, or even watch the shows as they are aired (live). Some of the most popular shows of this year are even available, including some of my favorite shows; Bones, Gotham, and Constantine.  In fact, it was because of this app that I started watching the show Constantine!
