The one thing that I miss the most of living in our old home, is Thaddeus’ room. I spent days painting one of his walls, getting it ready for him when he moved into the front bedroom, which was much bigger than his nursery. I love doing kids wall art, it’s so much fun and if you take your time it can look great! In fact, that bedroom was completely done by me. His bedroom set (curtains and blanket for crib) and the painting on the walls.
Yeah, it was awesome looking, if I may say so myself. Then last year we purchased our current home. Although the home was well maintained and freshly painted before we moved it, it still looks the way it did when we moved it. We have done NO painting as of yet. So this is Thaddeus’ room right now.
Yeah, I made him a new set of curtains and although he’s not using the outer space bed set, he does have one that matches (I didn’t make this set). Yes, VERY boring room, especially for a 5 year old. So we’ve decided to do some redecorating and going with a transportation theme. I came across this awesome site that sells wall stencils to create wall murals. If it’s as easy as it looks, then I just may have to buy an additional set and do the spare bedroom, we’ll see.
