As a parent, we are always keeping track of all the different growth habits of our children. From weight to height to milestones. There are all kinds of books you can purchase to keep track of everything in one place, which is great because there is always something new to add to their milestones. For me, I love to be able to compare the actual growth of our boys. Not because I want to see who grows faster or who was bigger at each age, but because Xavier was technically supposed to have been born on Thaddeus’ 6th birthday and since he came two months early it is my personal way of seeing if Xavier is growing on the same track as his brother.
Although this has been pretty easy, for the most part, by comparing their height and weight through their books, it is a lot easier if you have one chart to mark both heights on. This is now possible thanks to MailPix for sending me a complimentary sample of their Growth Charts that I was able to customize as I wanted.
Using MailPix is super easy; you just choose your product, customize it the way you want it, and order it. For this project, I selected the Growth Charts, added photos, and text to customize it, and ordered. I love the fact that the growth charts can easily be stuck on a wall and re-applied if you re-arrange or move. When it first arrived, I had forgotten about that part, and we were planning on going out and getting some thin trim to put around it like a frame so that Xavier wouldn’t pull it off the wall. I went to the MailPix site to double-check the measurements and then remembered it was a large sticker!
The growth chart is 12″ x 36″ and you just peel and stick it where you want it to be. Be sure to measure so that you get the right heights when measuring your children. Just apply it 23″ from the floor. There is an option to trim the white border, which is about 1/4″ all the way around the chart, however, we chose to leave it. The growth chart is also printed on a strong, high quality, fabric so it should be able to hold up to the kids!
