Disclosure: I would like to thank Angela from OutCast Communications for providing me with a Jawbone ICON for the purpose of this review. All opinions are that of my own.
I would like to introduce you to a new gadget from Aliph, the Jawbone ICON®.
Aliph is committed to creating personal technology products that deliver an unsurpassed user experience. The company’s flagship product, the award-winning Jawbone Bluetooth headset, first disrupted the industry in 2006 with its military-grade NoiseAssassin technology and instantly became recognized as the best Bluetooth headset available. In 2010, Jawbone ICON becomes the company’s most innovative Jawbone yet; introducing unmatched ease of use, personalization, sound quality and design into the consumer marketplace.
Co-founded by Alexander Asseily and Hosain Rahman, Aliph is a privately-held company headquartered in San Francisco.
The Jawbone ICON represents a complete departure from the gadgetry of the traditional headset industry. Six stunning jewelry-like designs with mirror like and undulating surfaces represent a level of design innovation never before achieved in consumer electronics.
Originally developed for use in tanks and helicopters, Jawbone ICON’s NoiseAssassin is a proprietary technology that eliminates background noise from mobile phone conversations. Jawbone is the only Bluetooth headset with a Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) that actually feels your speech, which helps Jawbone distinguish your voice from background noise. As a result, Jawbone offers better audio quality than any other headset on the market.

I received a Jawbone ICON The Bombshell for my review and I’ve been using it a lot since I’ve gotten it. I even use it when I’m at home, makes it a lot easier to talk on the phone with my mom (or anyone else for that matter) while doing laundry or gardening.
It was very easy to set it up, even with a MAC and an iPhone! Just turn on your bluetooth in your settings on your iPhone and it’ll automatically connect to it (at least it did for me) and away we went. The instructions are very easy to understand and I love that the Jawbone ICON comes with several different earbud fits because I always have a hard time finding earbuds that fit my little ears, I was able to use the smallest one and the earloop and had no problems using the Jawbone ICON at all.
I love that you can charge your Jawbone with either an electrical outlet or with a little USB cable to your computer, makes it easy and convenient to charge it up anywhere! Oh and I cannot forget to mention how easy it is to answer and end a call, just push a little button and you are ready to talk or end your call! When you are not using the phone, you can push that same little button and you can hear how much time is left in the battery life so you know when you may need to charge it back up again.
