We are told that we should always keep our brains working, it’ll help us when we get older. One of the best ways of doing this is by doing puzzles or other educational strategies. This not only will help us learn new things, but because we are learning we are also expanding our knowledge. This is where Tip #29: Placemat comes into play from Team Kellogg’s! Don’t waste that precious time while eating by doing absolutely nothing. Pull out a puzzle book and do a puzzle or two!
Be sure to download the above placemat so that you can print it out for yourself or your family. You can have a little fun with a small challenge with your family at breakfast by having one for each member of the family and make a game of it, see who can complete each activity the fastest. There’s nothing wrong with a family challenge to get your morning off to a great start!
There are all kinds of ways to keep your brain learning, just by doing puzzles, math games, word games, and so much more and you can do it all while having your breakfast! You can even encourage your children to do this also by doing some problems from their math book or even give them their own puzzle book to use. Just make sure that they don’t spill anything on their school books!
I love doing word searches and my oldest has so much fun with puzzles where you have to find he differences. They both are great for working your brain. Crossword puzzles are probably the best because you are not only solving a puzzle, per say, but you are also figuring out clues. You will notice that a lot of restaurants are now putting the kids menus on coloring books or placemats that include puzzles on them, even they know how important it is to keep the brain learning
We all know how important it is to keep our brains learning, by having a little fun during breakfast we can continue to teach ourselves and keep our brain learning. You never know, it may just help you or your loved ones in the future. Print out a bunch of different types of puzzles and find one or two different kinds that you really enjoy doing and then go out and purchase a book of that type of puzzles or let your fingers do the walking and find a bunch to print out.
