Chocolate Chunk Cookies

I was going to go with basic chocolate chip cookies, but decided to try this chocolate chunk cookies recipe and it’s not all that bad.  It does lack the sweetness due to no regular sugar, but they are still pretty darn good!

Chocolate Chunk Cookies

The original recipe came from The Great American Cookie Cookbook.
Chocolate Chunk Cookies
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 Cup vegetable oil
  • ¾ Cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla
  • ¼ Teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ Teaspoon salt
  • 2½ Cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Package (12 ounce) semisweet chocolate chunks
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease the cookie sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Beat eggs in a large bowl until foamy. Ad oil and brown sugar; beat until light and frothy. Blend in baking powder, vanilla, baking soda, and salt. Mix in flour until dough is smooth. Stir in chocolate chunks.
  3. Shape the dough into walnut-sized balls (or drop). Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet(s).
  4. Bake 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Removed from cookie sheets to wire racks for cooling.

Yummo, what a delicious recipe you have been so kind to share with us all. I am sure most of us would agree that freshly baked chocolate chip cookies are always amazing, but when you change the small choc chips for larger choc chunks it makes for an even better cookie. I will be doing some baking next weekend with this recipe being my number one priority. Thanks again
